Metro Manila, Philippines, is predicted to reach a housing shortage of around 1 million units by the year 2030. As more and more buildable spaces in the capital are diminished, Nightingale Manila tries explores alternative ways of housing design by reimagining the existing infrastructure, the Philippine National Railway, and transforming it to provide housing units for the Filipino people currently living under extreme poverty.
