In early December of 2012, Nintendo released yet another revision of the Wii hardware in the form of the Wii Mini. Like the revision before it, this new iteration lacks Gamecube backwards compatibility as well as several other bits of functionality that were included on the original Wii. The Wii Mini does not accept SD memory cards and has traded its two USB ports for only one. Additionally, all online functionality such as Wii Ware and the Virtual Console have been stripped from the Wii Menu leaving this console capable of playing only Wii games on disc. In this video I unbox the new hardware as well as go through the initial setup process of the Wii menu.
