After spending a day in Sapporo, we headed straight to Niseko the next day!

This time, we took the Hokkaido Resort Liner ski bus, which goes directly from New Chitose Airport to the Northern Resort Annupuri hotel in Niseko. While going back to New Chitose Airport might be a bit of a hassle, there are plenty of shops and eateries in the domestic terminal where you can indulge in some snacks. Plus, the scenery along the bus route is absolutely stunning, and being dropped off right at the hotel door is super convenient.

There are many ski rental shops in Niseko, but about 80% of people choose to rent from Rhythm! Their service is comprehensive, allowing you to pick up your gear from 3:00 p.m. on the day before your first rental day, and return it by 10:00 a.m. the day after your last rental day, essentially giving you an extra day for free. Additionally, their shuttle service is very practical, and you can inquire about how to use it by leaving a message.

The day we arrived in Niseko happened to be a holiday in Japan, so all accommodations were almost double the usual price. Our hotel, originally around US450 per night, increased to NT14000 per night, which was quite scary! However, after weighing all the pros and cons, we, as complete beginners in skiing, gritted our teeth and stayed for one night! Our plan was simple: to make the most of the skiin/out convenience, skiing until the last light in the evening and starting from the first snow in the morning!
