Nissan frontier Belt squeal . This 2003 Nissan Frontier has a belt that squeals when first started . It looked as if someone had put new fan belts on the nissan frontier not long ago. I checked for bad idler pulleys and misalignment of pulleys . One of the new belts seemed a little loose , so i tried to tighten it up some . I noticed the belt tensioner pulley was adjusted all the way as tight as it would go. So i thought wrong belt . I looked the part number on the belt up and it was for a nissan frontier . I saw the length of the belt that was supposed to fit and every other parts store listed a half inch shorter belt for the nissan frontier . So the belt that was on it was listed wrong and was to long . the new belt fixed the squeal.
