This recipe for no oil plant based cheese sauce was inspired by @PlantifulKiki. This no oil plant based cheese sauce is amazing!
It is perfect on pasta, potatoes, veggies and can even be used as a dip with chips.
Ingredients:
one medium Yukon gold potato
1/2 carrot
squeeze of a lemon
2 T nutritional yeast
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
*1/4 cup soaked raw cashews (add if you want it more creamy)
1 cup of the water you cooked the potatoes and carrots in.
dice the carrot and potato(no need to peel) into bite size pieces so they cook quickly and add to a pot of water. Cook until fork tender.
Once done scoop out the potatoes and carrots with a slotted spoon and place in your high speed blender and blend till smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients. Add more potato water as needed.
