In this video, No One Is Aboard?! Unmanned and Adrift Sailboat in Distress, we sight a sailing vessel at the edge of the gulf stream with a continuously flogging genoa so we investigate to discover no one is at the helm. After repeated attempts to hail them from close range with shouts and horn blasts we determine that the vessel is unoccupied. After notifying the USCG and continuing towards Jacksonville we learn the full story of the unmanned vessel. We arrive in Jacksonville and tackle the challenge of passing under the Buckman Bridge with a clearance of 65' with our 65' mast!

In August of 2017 we sold everything and moved aboard Balachandra, a 1986 C&C44 sailboat. After 2 fridgid Canadian winters in the North Atlantic we untied the lines and headed south to cruise in the Caribbean for another 2 years, exploring as far as Grenada. Sailing Balachandra is our YouTube sailing vlog inspired by other great channels such as Delos, La Vagabonde, Sailing Uma and Project Atticus, we document the sailing adventures of myself (Dan) and my partner Nawal as we navigate the globe. We also dive into lots of DIY boat projects both above and below decks, and share with you all of the pros, cons, costs, essentials, trials and tribulations of living aboard a sailboat full time.
