It finally happened! Jacob had been asking me to come out on his tandem for so long and we finally made it happen and what a hilarious day it was! Typically I'm just talking to myself when I fish so it was nice to have a friend right there with you. The day was filled with laughs and thankfully a lot of fish. Bait was tough, as it has been lately, so I did what I do best, jig all day. Jacob picked up two opelu and thankfully went 2/2 on strikes, landing a nice shibi and uku. Throughout the day Jacob would give me intel from the sonar on when to drop a jig and we made a pretty damn good team. We caught shibi (yellowfin tuna), kawakawa (wavy skipjack tuna), uku (snapper), kamanu (rainbow runner), and kahala (amberjack). It was an action packed day that we'll certainly never forget.
