A cowboy named Utah (Russell Hayden) arrives in the Canadian woods looking to reunite with his old friend Bill, coowner of their ranchbut instead of the mysteriously missing Bill, Utah finds only an air of mystery, closemouthed trappers, hairtrigger tempers, and a fourflushing dealer in stolen pelts named "Nails" Nathan (Douglas Fowley).
