Thursday could bring recordbreaking heat to parts of Northern California as a stretch of tripledigit weather is expected to last for a few more days. Meteorologist Dirk Verdoorn said downtown Sacramento on Wednesday hit 109 degrees. Thursday could get higher than 110 degrees, which would break a record for this time of year. The average for this time of year is 94 degrees.
