Van Claud has been in the mulch and soil industry since 1975.

He is amazed at just how far the industry has come in nearly 50 years. Most mulch and soil plants have at least some sort of automation in their plant today. However, back in 1995 when Van first started selling for NOVA there were hardly any palletizers or form fill seal machines.

He and NOVA cofounder Voit Karpala began educating customers on automation, and helping them introduce it in their plants.

Although Van and Voit aren't typically the ones in the field handling startup today, they both continue to help customers all over the United States and Canada hit their production goals through tried and true automated equipment.
