This student produced video describes the experiences of the summer 2022 National Science Foundation International Research Experience for students (NSF IRES) project “IRES Track I: Mapping and Quantifying the Natural Disaster Resilience of Displaced People with the University of Rwanda Center for Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing.”
In the video, the students describe their experiences with conducting field research on mapping refugee camps in Rwanda as well as conducting field research on disaster resilience in rural communities throughout Rwanda. If you are interested in learning about how international humanitarian and disaster management research is conducted using geographic information systems technology, this video will be of great interest.
