The last of the Trafalgarclass of hunterkiller nuclear submarines, HMS Triumph returns to Devonport Naval Base In Plymouth after deployment. Due to be retired soon.

HMS Triumph (S93) was the last TBoat to be commissioned of the seven Trafalgarclass hunterkiller nuclear submarines produced between 1977 and 1986 during the Cold War, and was launched in 1991. HMS Triumph is the last of the class still in service with the Royal Navy, with retirement expected in 2024. The class is succeeded by the Astuteclass of nuclear powered hunterkiller submarines.

The vessel is homeported at His Majesty's Naval Base Devonport, all other classes are homeported at HMNB Clyde in Scotland. On the inbound journey HMS Triumph was escorted by the Ministry of Defence Police, and tugs; the SD Powerful and SD Careful of Serco. The submarine passed between RFA Lyme Bay and Mount Bay in the Plymouth Sound.
