I was on the 16th floor in a low cost double in unit shared by 7 people (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms). It was actually really spacious and didn’t feel like I had 6 roommates at all.

I think the only real con is that the smell from the kitchen just goes straight through the ventilation gap and gets into all your clothes and blankets.

The lights and sounds weren’t really an issue for me (but maybe cuz I stayed up super late anyways…)

As for Laf in general, it’s really nice but I think the location is kinda awkward. It’s definitely within walking distance from campus but it is definitely too far to run when you wake up late. It’s also kinda far from like… every grocery store I’m used to (ex: target, Trader Joe’s) Also, the shuttles were never reliable so I spent a lot of money on the subways…

Being next to the Bowery mission (ik that’s a concern some people have) wasn’t really a problem for me and I don’t really see how it could be an issue ahahaaa

I felt safe walking back late at night and Canal st station connects to a bunch of lines :D

Overall, I really liked Laf but I really hope I get a dorm closer to campus next sem~
