Travel guide with all the tips on what to see, do and visit in Lousã. In central Portugal, this region is famous for its schist villages and lush nature. It also has a castle, a river beach and a waterfall on the Ribeira das Quelhas walkway.

We stroll through the schist villages of Candal, Chiqueiro, Casal Novo and Talasnal, perhaps the most famous of the region. We stayed in Cerdeira, a totally renovated schist village where I could even see shooting stars!
