The next decade will bring new opportunities for finding life beyond Earth. Examples include finding lifeaswedonotknowit by fishing in the oceans of methane and ethane on Titan and scooping the lava tubes on Mars, or by discovering interstellar space trash of technological origin. Over the past decade, the first four interstellar objects were discovered. They include two interstellar meteors, IM1 and IM2, detected by U.S. Government satellites on January 8, 2014 and March 9, 2017; `Oumuamua detected on October 19, 2017; and the interstellar comet Borisov detected on August 29, 2019. Among these four, the first three appeared anomalous relative to known solarsystem rocks. In June 2023, Avi Loeb led an expedition to the Pacific Ocean that recovered molten droplets from IM1's fireball.
