In todays ocean oil painting tutorial we are going to paint together step by step a lovely ocean oil painting.

This beach oil painting is designed for intermediate and more advanced painters but anyone is welcome to try and paint along at home. In this oil painting ocean edition we will learn how to paint water with oil paints, how to paint realistic water including shimmer and how to paint waves in oil paints. Also how to paint an ocean in oil paints and how to paint a beach with sand dunes.

We will use a number of different brushes to learn how to paint an ocean in oils in this tutorial such as Fan brushes, Fine liners, Flat headed brushes, and larger round headed brushes to block in.

This ocean beach painting is painted on a 30 x 25 cm canvas.
