In this video, I fabricate a skid plate to cover the transmission on my offroad lawnmower from some pieces of sheet steel original to the mower. It only costs me $10 and is very easy to put together to help protect the transmission from stumps, logs, and rocks busting the case open/in half. Something is better than nothing!
