I finally make it to Shawnee to take on Ohio's toughest hiking trail in late October, "the little smokies of Ohio", 37.2 miles of brutal accents and descents.

I have hiked all over the state and have never experienced these kind of hills in Ohio! Total elevation gain of over 6,600 feet!

This trip began late in the day and was completed in two nights and 2.5 days. I believe it can be done in one night and two days if you are in good hiking shape.

If you are trying to find hills to train on in Ohio this is your trail! I stayed in campsites 1 and 6. Camp 6 is hard to beat!
