In 1997 Olympus commissioned Cosina to make an entry level manual camera to suit OM mount lenses. The result was the OM2000; along with 3570mm and 70210mm lenses, and a small flash. Many Olympus enthusiasts disregard this model; however, it plays an important part in the winding down of 35mm cameras by the company.
