"Double Arm Swing" is one of those simple movements that contains a vast amount of ancient wisdom and brings extraordinary benefits. It opens all the meridians (energy channels) and improves blood circulation. It's a deep process that is part of "bone marrow washing" in the internal Chinese arts.

In the beginning, the practice might feel a little tedious or boring, but with experience, it becomes more enjoyable and turns into a form of meditation where the mind enters an empty state. This is when it brings the best results – when the movement is performed with a clear mind, without thinking. This will occur with regular practice.

Important details:
∙ Keep your body and shoulders relaxed.
∙ Keep your knees slightly bent so that they can move naturally with the body.
∙ Place your feet shoulderwidth apart in a parallel manner if possible.
∙ Don't purposely move your feet; let them move naturally with the rest of the body.
∙ Don't force the movement; do it in the most natural way, using momentum rather than force.
∙ Pay attention to the position of your palms, both in front and behind the body.
∙ Breathe naturally through your nose.
∙ Place the tip of your tongue on the upper palate behind your front teeth.
∙ If standing for too long is not possible, you can do it sitting down.

This exercise is beneficial to anyone and brings support in various health conditions, but it requires consistency and should be done for at least 30 minutes.

For individuals with more serious health conditions, it should be done for 40–60 minutes. Some of Master Yang's experienced students perform it for up to even 90–120 minutes. Practice consistently for a month to start seeing improvements in your health and then continue to maintain the results.
