In any meditation a good place to start is facilitating a sense of steadiness, learning to stabilize attention, having the patience to let the mud settle, so to speak. So we’ll use the first few minutes of this exercise to settle in and let the sensations of the breath be an anchor for our attention, and then transition to what we call open awareness (or choiceless awareness), which is essentially learning how to be here now.
