Rufus Pollock Datopian, CKAN Technology Team
Rufus Pollock is an entrepreneur and technologist committed to democratizing data. Prior to establishing Datopian, Rufus founded the awardwinning Open Knowledge Foundation, as well as the acclaimed CKAN project. He is the author of The Open Revolution: Rewriting the Rules of the Information Age (2018).

Bob Gradeck, Manager Western Pennsylvania Regional Data Center at University of Pittsburgh
Bob Gradeck manages and cofounded the Western Pennsylvania Regional Data Center (WPRDC) at the University of Pittsburgh’s University Center for Social and Urban Research. Launched in 2015, the WPRDC is a unique open data partnership between the University, Allegheny County, and the City of Pittsburgh. Bob is also a member of the Civic Switchboard project, an effort dedicated to help libraries and library workers become participants in civic data initiatives.

Christine Hagyard Senior Manager Data Access and Analytics, Ontario Digital Service, Government of Ontario
Christine leads a team of multidisciplinary digital and data practitioners responsible for the province of Ontario’s Open Data Program. Working in the intersection of people, policy, and data, Christine and her team create the governance, infrastructure, and training required to publish government open data and evolve and improve provincial open data services. This year the team’s focus includes increasing the openness of provincial COVID19 data and the government’s transparent and responsible use of datadriven technology such as artificial intelligence.

Bianca Sayan, Developer Ontario Digital Service, Government of Ontario
Bianca Sayan has been working on Ontario’s data catalogues for over two years, from devops to development to user research to data sharing culture change.

Hao Qin Ontario Digital Service, Government of Ontario
Hao builds and maintains feature enhancements and data pipelines for catalogue automation and tries to mix his love of food and data whenever possible.
