Today on Prime Time a discussion on the debate in Parliament about the statements made by HRD Minister Smriti Irani about 'Mahishasura' and Goddess Durga. With the debates again focusing on the JNU issue and that of the death of Hyderabad Central University's PhD scholar Rohith Vemula, we ask whether the HRD Minister failed to verify facts before presenting them in Parliament. Ms Irani had alleged that the police nor doctors were allowed access to the body of Rohith for several hours after his death a statement that his family later alleged as false.
