BlackSeaRC presents the second video in a series looking at the new Orlandoo Hunter (OH) OH32X02 XRoll Cage Series Trophy Truck. This is a hobbygrade 1:32 scale radio controlled (RC) micro offroad racer kit. It is one of the latest cellphone size RC products from Orlandoo Hunter and was released in 2022.

In the first video, the kit was unboxed and we also prepared for the build by looking at all the ancillary parts required to construct the kit and get the truck up and running. This included the electronics bundle consisting of D4L radio transmitter handset, combined receiver/ Electronic Speed Controller (ESC), lighting group, sound group, steering servo, 3000rpm N30 geared brushed motor assembly, 7.4V LiPo battery equipment, etc.

In this new video, we shall follow the stepbystep kit build and there are hints and tips to help you if you are constructing a similar model yourself. A selection of upgrade parts are also incorporated into the build, including a metal servo saver, metal main driveshaft and metal shock absorbers. You can see how I fitted the D4L 4in1 receiver/ESC and 7.4V LiPo battery pack to make them more discreet and thus offering greater scale realism. Additionally, you can see how I further customised this model to replicate a real fullsize trophy truck.

The OH32X02 kit is an accurate representation of a real trophy truck with 4x2 drive configuration. It features a 3D printed roll cage style chassis, independent double wishbone front suspension, trailing arms with solid axle at the rear, metal bearings, coil spring shock absorbers and dampers at each wheel station, allterrain tyres including two rearmounted spare tyres, interior detailing and a prepainted polycarbonate body.

In future videos, this tiny RC trophy truck will be subjected to comprehensive testing including indoor and outdoor driving. If you want to see if this machine is suitable as a cool desktop driver or an impressive scalerealistic micro offroad racer, then look out for upcoming videos.

WARNING: If you are thinking about building this (or one of the other Orlandoo Hunter kits), it will present numerous challenges, even if you are an experienced RC model builder. You will need a welllit workspace (preferably with a hard floor), nimble fingers, steady hands, the eyesight of an eagle and huge amounts of patience and perseverance. A tiny magnetic Philips head screwdriver would be a distinct advantage. Be prepared for numerous frustrations and a bit of modifying to get parts to fit. There will be times when you just have to walk away from a build step and come back later and try again. The end result is impressive from an engineering point of view, but you may find it an ordeal rather than a pleasure getting there.
