ORS tools uses the free OpenRouteService API, based on OpenStreetMap data, to allow you to calculate routes, travel times and service areas without needing to do any work setting up your own network dataset. All you need is a point layer with your start and end points for routes or access points for isochrones and it will do the rest for you. You can even calculate times for different travel types car journey, HGV, walking, cycling etc.
