Trifecta Pilates

If you’re looking for an Osteopenia or Osteoporosis Safe Workout with your Pilates practice, try this 30 minute mat Pilates class.

We’ll maintain a neutral position with the spine during this entire class. As always if there’s an exercise that feels too challenging or is not good for you, pick a different exercise or stretch to move with.

Neutral Spine Pilates
We’ll begin this class with a standing awareness exercise before moving with a standing warm up. Fostering awareness of the natural curves of the spine is essential in any Pilates practice, especially if you have osteopenia or osteoporosis.

After the standing Pilates warmup, we’ll take it down to the mat to work on core stability exercises, including a variation of the hundred.

From there you’ll move with seated, side lying and kneeling exercises with an extra emphasis on form.

To close the practice we’ll move with back strengthening and standing exercises.

If you enjoy this class, give it a thumbs up and let me know in the comments!
