When I fell ill with an inflammatory bowel disease, I felt shocked and lonely. The medicines were causing me severe side effects and communicating with the doctors was hard. Finally, after getting sepsis, I had ostomy surgery and experienced a feeling of deep peace and surrender.

In this story episode, I explain how I became ill with ulcerative colitis, and the events that led me to have colectomy and my first ileostomy. I continue the story in the next episode. :)
