Welcome to Ottawa, Ontario! I am here at Parliament Hill to take a walk around the city of Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec on the Parliament Hill Loop. For this video I started out on the Ottawa River Pathway right in front of the statue of Lt. Col. John By in Major's Hill Park. There is an amazing view overlooking the Rideau Canal locks. I then make my way to Parliament Hill by walking beside the Chateau Laurier to Wellington St. The best way to do this loop is to walk clockwise around towards Gatineau, Quebec along the Portage Bridge and cross over onto the Voyageurs Pathway that runs along beside the Ottawa River. The views from this point are so amazing! I then take this pathway to the Canadian Museum of History where I come across the Monument to the Algonquin Chief Tessouat and learn about him. I keep following the path to the Alexandria Bridge where I cross back into Ottawa and come across the National Gallery of Canada which then loops back around to Major's Hill Park where I started. The whole trail took me just over 2 hours and is around 5 km long. It's totally worth the trip to see the amazing views of Parliament Hill.
