After fixing the steering and servicing the engine, we were finally ready to take the boat out. But, as usual, we learned the hard way that the throttle linkage had seized after sitting unused for more than a year, leaving us stuck in neutral. On top of that, we discovered the diesel return pipe had split and was leaking fuel, so it was probably for the best that we didn’t leave the marina that day. Luckily, we managed to fix the throttle linkage, and as soon as we find the replacement part for the pipe, we’ll be ready to try again.
