Our Very First LEGO Mindstorms® NXT 2.0 Robot MOC

Mainly developed and programmed by 11 years old Lukas nephew of mine.

This robot has been the very first attempt to create a own robot model ("MOC" = My Own Creation).
It drives independently and searches for small objects.
It returns after contact with walls and other large hurdles.
It returns after detecting objects in wrong colors
it detects blue objects, brings itself into a position to grab the object
then the blue object is grabbed and picked up.
special feature: oscillating distance sensor (ultrasound).

Basically the robotic components are taken from LEGO set 8547 "Mindstorms NXT 2.0".
Other technic bricks are widely taken from tractor set 8284.

Built over Christmas 2011 in just 2 days.
