Outer Wilds begins toasting marshmallows on an open fire, soon becoming a journey into uncharted space, an archaeological discovery of an extinct alien species, and the small matter of saving the universe.

Outer Wilds' narrative is centred in exploration asking the player to uncover as much as possible before the sun goes supernova and resets the loop. It's both the fuel to keep going and a neat tiein to the decisions we make in games how our seemingly unlimited choices ultimately converge into a single reality the developer chose.
