The French humanistic travel documentary series "Les Routes de l'impossible" tells the story of people who take great risks to make a living by driving vehicles (cars, trucks, boats...). This issue takes us to Afghanistan, a landlocked country in westcentral Asia, where more than 40 years of conflict have led to the decline of the country, and where poppies have been grown on a large scale since the Soviet Union's invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, which is considered to have been a major failure of the Soviet Union's foreign policy, and one of the reasons for the country's decline and disintegration.
