In the summer of 2008 in San Francisco, six months after Presentation Zen came out, my publisher (Peachpit Press) asked me to make a 1hour video (DVD) that would be a complement to the book. So they assigned me a documentary filmmaker and a director and we spent two days in a small studio in the Sunset District. It took two days of filming. These are some of the outtakes the editor put together. It's a reminder just how hard it is for me (and many others) to speak in front of a camera. I am comfortable on a stage in front of hundreds or thousands, but find talking to a camera a constant struggle. But the way to get better at it is just to keep doing it. Almost every TV presenter or successful YouTuber were pretty cringeworthy starting out. But everyone can get better.
