One woman made a startling discovery when she was suddenly denied rental assistance. Sydney Walls' rental home on Ashland Avenue felt like home. She and her young son moved there in 2021. But she ran into bad luck early in 2022. "I lost my job in February. My savings ran out in May," she said.
