They warmup their dogs on “leave it” with treats on the ground — a familiar training scenario to the dogs — before applying “leave it” to less familiar “real world” distractions in the mall. Great work by these teams! So proud of all of them! (Two of these dogs are now working as fully trained service dogs, providing valuable support and independence for their handlers.
