OxiLiner Check List for efficient Pipe Lining

Roots Plumbing - Cape Town

Are you an Oxi Liner Installer, or are you planning to become one?

Here are some prep and coating tips I have for you after a few months of using Oxi Liner as a Pipe Relining and Repair tool.

I always keep a kit of spares and site maintenance consumables for the job. This ensures that you get to site with everything you need to do the job, without risking wasted time, or defective workmanship by not having what you need to prepare, complete the job or clean once you are done coating.

My "Kit" always includes:
_______________________________________________________
1) The Oxi Liner Tube / Canon
2) High pressure Oxygen cylinder (a spare can't hurt)
3) HP Air Hose
4) Oxi Epoxy required for length of pipe (and a spare portion)
5) Painters tape and drop sheeting
6) Acetone 5Ltr bottle (and 1Ltr spare)
7) Full bags of cleaning cloths
8) 5Ltr bucket with lid
9) Large Bucket 20/25 Ltr As dustbin or storage
10) Bin bags to use for waste (inside large bucket)
11) Plumbing / Air fittings for pipe needing coating (and spares)
12) Paint Brush for finishing touches
13) Mixing spoons and Paint drill bit to mix Epoxy
14) Pouring Jug to measure and mix Epoxy
15) Latex Gloves (nitrile won't work with acetone)
16) Spare pressure gauge
17) 20mm (3/4") Flexi Hose
18) Wate pipe plug for drain coating.
19) PTFE tape
20) Heat Gun ( or Oxi Liner Hot Box with compressor)
21) Leaf blower.

This should get you through most Oxi Liner coating jobs quite well. Remember to bring hand tools along and be careful what you acetone.
