SPO2:
Measures how fully loaded is hemoglobin with oxygen.
Amount of oxygen dissolved directly in the blood:
Measures amount of oxygen dissolved in blood.
It's an Sshaped curve. If you breathe hard the curve shifts to the left. So the oxygen dissociation curve shifts to the left and hemoglobin holds on to oxygen.
This is called the Bohr Effect.
