Just prior to closures, we headed south to northwest Arkansas for a 5 day, 65 mile backpacking trip on the Ozark Highlands Trail. Rob and I hiked from Ozone to Stacked Rocks. We found 5 great places to camp along the trail. Due to rain the last 13 of 15 days, water was high. Many creeks we crossed were a bit higher and the Buffalo River at Woolum Ford was too high to cross.

With no cell service for much of the trail, our minds were occupied with what is happening out there. Not seeing any other hikers really had our imaginations running.
