I recently suffered the very common P0401 error code on my 2002 F150 4.6L 4x4. I spent hours researching the problem on various forums and YouTube. P.S. I don't want this to be a spoiler, but WranglerStar was right. Had I not been a wussy and turned the actual repair part over to mechanics as opposed to trying to fix it myself, I would have saved $300 ($240 of which was for unnecessary repairs) and many hours of running around.
