Maiden flight of Mike Pattison's P47D. Modeled after the "Dallas Blonde" of the 325 Fighter Group, this CARF kit took over a year and a half to complete. It is powered by a Moki 250 and flown with a JR 12x radio. The plane weighs 55lbs.

Pilot Rick Davey had the privilege of completing the maiden flight at the HCAM model airplane field in Austin Texas on Saturday June 14, 2014.

Despite gusty winds, being very nose heavy and the engine running on only 3 cylinders, the Jug flew flawlessly.
