What causes PAD?

PAD is primarily caused by the buildup of fatty plaque in the arteries, which causes leg artery blockage.

PAD (Peripheral Artery Disease) causes poor blood circulation through the legs.

If not treated, PAD can lead to chronic leg pain and eventually, leg amputation.

To treat PAD and restore healthy blood flow through their patients' legs, vascular surgeon Dr. Esposito and interventional radiologist Dr. Davis perform endovascular techniques such as stenting, atherectomy, and balloon angioplasty.

PAD treatments are performed on an outpatient basis at Milford Vascular Institute's officebased lab.

Outpatient endovascular treatments are quick procedures without a hospital stay which allow patients to enjoy quick recovery and little to no scarring at all.
