/ loisdavidsonart   https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/OwlsAndF... Today's demo is a simple loose watercolour seascape painting of waves crashing and breaking on rocks, inspired by a photo from Pixabay: https://pixabay.com/photos/watersea... My main focus was on painting most of the wave negatively by painting round it, then adding subtle shading near the end.
Materials: Millford 100% cotton cold pressed paper, 11" x 15"/28cm x 38cm, various brushes, see video, but use whatever brushes you prefer. I used a limited palette of Cotman watercolour tube paints in yellow ochre, indigo and paynes grey, but use whatever colours and brushes you prefer if you feel like trying this tutorial.
My board is at an angle of about 4560 degrees.
Many thanks to my lovely Patrons for your support!
