Painting the Chassis | Spartan Manor E05

With the integrity of the chassis restored after some welding, it's time to paint! In this episode you'll see our attempt at using rust converter to chemically treat the chassis (anybody else have better success with this?). We then move on to priming and painting, which is no small feat given all the surfaces.

Overall, this part of the project cost about $180 and took 20 hours of work to complete.

Reaching this stage felt like a major milestone. One step closer to installing a floor but first we want to make sure the shell is rainproof before fall in the Pacific Northwest sets in.

I hope you find this how to series on renovating my 1949 Spartan Manor vintage camper trailer useful! The next episode will probably be about installing new roof vents and placing the AC unit.
