"Palaban", written and directed by National Artist for Film Eddie Romero, is a melodrama about a childcustody battle between the child's biological motherstruggling for survivaland the biological father's rich older sister. Released in 1980, the film stars Amalia Fuentes as the rich socialite and Alma Moreno as the the BarRoom Girl. They are joined by Ting Jocson, Claire Felicen, Baby Delgado, Eddie Garcia, Joonee Gamboa, and Josephine Estrada among others.
