Pan Am Museum Foundation

This film was produced for the newly renamed Pan American World Airways to promote the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser. Pan Am was the launch customer for this aircraft and received the first on April 1, 1949.

Pan Am would have 21 B3771026 aircraft models and 11 B3771029 aircraft models in the airline's fleet between 1949 and 1961.

The Boeing 377 Stratocruiser was a large longrange airliner developed from the C97 Stratofreighter military transport, itself a derivative of the B29 Superfortress.

For more information on this aircraft, visit the Pan Am Museum's Stratocrusier exhibit within the Cradle of Aviation in Garden City, New York.
