Pandit Tushar Dutta is a Hindustani Classical Music and SemiClassical Music Vocalist. One of the most celebrated vocalist of Kolkata, India. He took "Taalim" on Hindustani Classical Music from ITC Sangeet Research Academy.

Tushar was born in a musical family. He started learning the fundamentals of Indian Classical music from Pandit Bimal Mitra of Durgapur at an early age. Later he joined ITC Sangeet Research Academy in 1983, at first he took Taalim under Pandit A Kanan, later under Pandit Arun Bhaduri in Kirana Gharana. He also took Taalim in Agra Gharana under Pandit K G Ginde and Pandit Sunil Bose and also from his GuruSister Vidushi Subhra Guha. The distinct and mellifluous blend of Kirana and Agra Gharana in his renditions is indeed remarkable. A perfect balance between emotional and technical qualities characterises his musical creations.
Tushar was awarded the National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. He is a "Top Grade" artist in the All India Radio and Doordarshan. In 1998, Dutta stood first in Khayal at All India University competition in Banaras . He has received the title of "Surmani" from Sur Sringar Samsad of Mumbai.

He has performed all over India and Abroad. Across the globe, he is also delivering workshops on Indian Classical Music.
