The men of the Gran Chaco, in Paraguay, try to make a place for themselves in the middle of a wild nature with an extreme climate. Depending on the season, the thermometer goes from zero to 50° Celsius. The roads that cross the Chaco are rarely maintained, and getting from one point to another takes courage, especially during the winter rains. Michelin, 67, is one of the few to venture there. As he does not receive any pension, he continues to play transporters in his old van. Despite the inhospitable climate of the Chaco, strange colonies of men and women settle there, and under their hands the forest disappears, giving way to immense fields.
