I made some leather case for a couple of razors so I thought I'd better shave with the razors as well, The Parker 1001 is one of my very best razors and I just love shaving with it, some of the best razor steel and grind all in one razor.

The new to me J A Henckels Friodur 17½ wasn't popping hairs (HHT) near the heel so I thought I'd give it a good strop on my horse hide strop downstairs and it brought it back to life and some. I then put it through my paddle strops & back to my horse hide strop for good measure. Always amazes me a tad that a piece of fine linen and then leather strop can bring a razor back to HHT so long as the bevel is set and it's not been rolled over.

The black case came out better so going forward that will be the one I'll be making with a few amendments on the pattern.
