Today we’re going to be showing you how to connect your Kestrel 5700 to the Kestrel Link Ballistics app. The first step is making sure the Bluetooth is enabled on your unit.

STEP 1: After turning on your Kestrel, you’ll navigate to the options menu by pressing the gear button in the upper left of the Kestrel’s keypad. Scroll down to Bluetooth and select on by pressing the right or left arrows. We also want to make sure data port is selected off. You can do this by also pressing on the right and left arrows.

STEP 2: Next, we will go into the Bluetooth settings submenu by highlighting Bluetooth and pressing the middle select button. We want to make sure the connect is set to PC/Mobile by toggling the left and right arrows. Setting the connection to PC/Mobile allows the Kestrel to connect to the app. While selecting device allows the Kestrel to connect to a compatible range finder.

STEP 3: We want to make sure the status appears as available and that the privacy pin is set to off.

STEP 4: Once these settings are confirmed, you can exit out of the Bluetooth submenu and out of the options menu by pressing the exit or gear button in the upper left. This will take you back to the ballistics screen. We’ll then move to the phone to set up the Kestrel Link Ballistics app for Bluetooth connectivity.
