Well it was worth hoping that just cleaning off the glow in the dark gunk off the lift arms would do the trick and they would work, but no. I ended up getting my very own creeper board so I could spelunk around underneath the camper and have a look. Turns out that the cable had slipped off the pulley wheel and it needed to be reset.
